Pima County Public Library

Any Pima County resident can get a library card for free; just bring in an ID and a bill with your address on it. The ID does not need to be issued by the state of Arizona. If you do not have proof of address, you can still get a limited library card that allows you to check out two items at a time. More info…

Your library card entitles you to check out materials and use the library’s online resources.

Online resources

There are several programs that provide language instruction in English and other languages. You will need to register the first time you use them; just remember your username and password for subsequent use. Programs include:

  • Rosetta stone: Practice listening, speaking, reading, and writing English at a basic level.
  • Tell me more: A variety of activities for beginning and intermediate English levels. It can be a bit difficult getting this set up to work on your computer, but it is worth the effort.
  • Tumblebooks: Picture books that will read the story to you as you follow along. Great for children or adults practicing listening and pronunciation.
  • TOEFL preparation: Practice exams for the Test of English as a Foreign Language through the Learning Express Library.
